Our community is committed to rock-star hospitality where all visitors, friends, and members feel welcome and cared for within our community. Our community embraces theological diversity, therefore there is no test of belief for membership but rather a commitment to live in a way that supports building the beloved community. We welcome people of all ages, physical abilities, races, sexual orientations, gender identities, and faith backgrounds. We welcome you!
Unitarian Universalists affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person — and that means embracing the spectrums of sexual orientation and gender identity. PrairieUU is certified by the UUA as a Welcoming Congregation. That means we live out our commitment to sexual and gender diversity by including people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, pansexual and asexual at every level of congregational life.
We welcome and affirm people of all abilities. Mobility We currently congregate at a public school in Parker, which is required to – and does – meet ADA Accessibility Requirements. Our sanctuary, fellowship hall, religious education classrooms, and restrooms are fully accessible to those who have limited mobility. Hearing We have hearing assistive devices that are connected to our PA system. During all church meetings and workshops, anyone speaking is strongly encouraged to use the portable microphones so that all can hear. The devices are available at the back of the sanctuary.
