Valerie Kaur has written a gem of a book: See No Stranger. Many of you are familiar with it. She is a Sikh writer, and her book has captured the imagination of progressives all over the world. An excerpt illustrates the direction of our service together.

“Guru Nanak called us to see no stranger, Buddha to practice unending compassion, Abraham to open our tent to all, Jesus to love our neighbors, Muhammad to take in the orphan, Mirabai to love without limits.”
As I read in a meme on Facebook the other day (I’m paraphrasing): Apparently, Jesus taught us that there are two kinds of people. The neighbor, whom we are to love. And the enemy, whom we are to love.
Radical, revolutionary love. It’s February. We may as well explore what it means to love with abundance and abandon.
