At Prairie UU Church we ask three things of you, our members, to experience the richness of community.

First: Participate in the Life of the Congregation

Communal worship is the base of our foundation. Attend services regularly and participate in congregational meetings.  Through participation, you are knit into the fabric of this fellowship and give life to the reason you decided to become a Member.

Second: Work on Your Spiritual Development

We believe that each of us is capable of discovering religious truth as it is revealed to us in our lives and within our community. We each take responsibility for our own spiritual well being with the support of the congregation.

Third: Be a Steward of this Congregation

Use your talents and interests to serve the congregation and preserve it for future Unitarian Universalists. We need hands, hearts and minds. That means sharing the work, doing the chores, and joining committees. We cannot succeed in our mission without your involvement. Find a list of Committee volunteer opportunities here.

Taking care of Prairie UU Church, the goal of a steward, means contributing not just hands, hearts and minds, but money, too.  The financial support of our congregation comes primarily from the generosity of our Members. We ask you to make a written financial commitment  every year called an annual pledge. This is the life blood of Prairie’s internal operations and is how we provide services to you and our congregation. Make your Pledge today.
