Service Sunday – Aurora Warms the Night

Please join us for a very special summer Service Sunday on Sunday, June 23rd. One Sunday each month after a shortened service, Prairie lives out its principles and vision to work for justice in our community. Partnering with AWTN, we will prepare and serve a summer picnic lunch immediately after church, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Denver City Park, 16th & Dayton, Denver. We had great participation last year and hope you will attend and bring your family and friends. All are welcome.

Eric Moon will provide special music.

A Successful Service Sunday

We made over a hundred meal kits after church on Service Sunday for Aurora Warms the night. Special thanks to Kendra and Adelaide for helping with shopping, bringing the wagon, unloading, then setting up the assembly line. Thanks to all the helping hands. The kids made it fun starting a contest to see who could make the most kits. I have to say it looks like Deidra and Cory won!
Bonnie from Aurora Warms the Night came and picked up the meal kits. She wants to come to our service and explain their mission perhaps in July or August.

We received a lovely Thank You note from Bobbie D, Aurora Warms the Night:

“Dear friends at Prairie UU Church – Many thanks for the 100 plus food kits for our homeless friends.  You are all awesome!  These are so appreciated”
