Every year at the onset of the holiday season, we explore the reality of the holiday blues, especially for those who are grieving or suffering from any form of illness, including mental illnesses.  Our hope is to acknowledge the challenges and to build support and care in community, while still celebrating the joy of the season.  Dave Lukaszewski will provide special music.

White Fragility Class Starts Nov. 11, during Learning Hour

Down the Rabbit-Hole: Extend your cultural comprehension in a reading group and tackle Dr. Robin DiAngelo’s book, White Fragility.  Learn that what seems ‘just normal,’ to most of us who identify as white, is something other people have to “cope with every day.”  This group will be led by Prairie member Andrew Paschetto.  For those who want to find or order the book, DiAngelo’s full book title is: White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard to Talk to White People about Racism.
