Refugee Support Update 
As of July 31, 2024: Oksana Honchar, the Ukrainian mom sponsored by Prairie in Parker, just began her first job as a home health caregiver, and is taking Certified Nurse Assistant classes in the evenings. She signed a lease for their first independent apartment. Her husband, in the Ukrainian military, is able to help pay for the apartment. The girls start school next week! They are almost independent of our Sponsor Circle. We send them wishes for much success and luck in this big step. Please contact Kathy if you have houseware items you’re willing to donate to the Honchars as they make their new apartment a home.

Justice League
We hope you’ll join us for our next Justice League meeting on August 25th, 12:00PM to 1:30PM at the Parker Library after service.

HIA ~ Golf Classic

The Habitat Interfaith Alliance 2024 Golf Classic: Our 20h annual tournament will again be held at the Hilton Inverness Hotel and Golf Club, on their beautiful PGA Championship course. Help us to raise funds to build a Habitat home in 2024!

Habitat Interfaith Alliance ~ Build Day
Habitat of Metro Denver has scheduled a build day for Trinity Methodist United Church and Prairie Unitarian Universalist Church. We are very excited about the build at Augustana Homes which is located near Alameda and Holly.
We welcome your participation in this build!
10 spots on Sunday, September 14th at the New Construction site, Augustana Homes, from 7:50AM to 3:30PM
Each group member will need to register here: http://hia.denver.volunteerhub.com/. All participants must register online at least two weeks in advance, by August 31, 2024.
All participants must register themselves. Registering online ensures that participants accept the waiver and receive information about the day, what to bring, and the location of the project.
All participants must arrive on time. There is a mandatory orientation and safety briefing at the beginning of the day. If volunteers miss this they will not be able to participate in the build day.
