GREETINGS TO ALL WANNA-BE OLYMPIC CROQUET-ers!
On Saturday, August 7th, 2021, gathering at 1:00pm, we will be “Putt”-ing on” a Fundraising Croquet Social, to Sponsor a Hole at Habitat for Humanity’s 2021 Interfaith Alliance Golf Classic Habitat Interfaith Alliance. Our goal is to have lots and lots of FUN and raise at least $300–the price of a hole sponsorship!–at the Tournament.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. . . That’s a LOT OF MONEY for the price of, well, a space full of nothing. Well, check this out!: HIA and the great work they do.
Where: Jim Rogo’s Backyard Croquet Course
Mission Viejo subdivision, near Chambers and Quincy.
15880 E. Princeton Ave.
Aurora 80013
720 320 1636
When: Saturday, August 7th, 1pm until the FUN(draising) is all done! (At least $300).
Why: Prairie has been involved with Habitat’s Interfaith Alliance for as long as my Prairie roots have been growing! For Prairie to “sponsor a hole” at this Golf Tournament (GO VIVIAN!), we need to provide $300. Then, we just need to cheer on Vivian (and anyone else who wishes to golf with her), and when she gets a Hole-in-One, she might win us a car, or other PGA Swag! If you wish to sign up to golf at the HIA event at the Inverness Resort on Aug. 30, go here: http://www.hiadenver.org/golf_tournament.html
How? Please RSVP to [email protected] to let us know that you can make it! Also, indicate that you are interested in either helping out at Jim’s Croquet Carnival on August 7th, or simply bring your dollars to donate and have a great time. You can also write a check to go toward the event, as well as an electronic transfer to Prairie’s checking account, with specific notes to go to “HIA Golf Classic.”
We will have some tooth-pickie foods and refreshments that have no alcohol in them (!). FUN will surely be had! You may also simply come to enjoy a really good social gathering of Prairie Folks and Friends.
Watch for more information to come–also, by reaching out to Calisse, you will receive all important, updated information as the date approaches. Thank you for supporting Prairie, the Community, Habitat and FUN!
Justice League and M2A take a summer break!
Please note that the Justice League and M2A will not be meeting over the summer UNLESS something happens in our community and/or our world that “MUUves” you to action, in which case, please reach out to Kim M. to call an impromptu M2A meeting.

Virtual Hot Topic: Critical Race Theory & Religion
As we learn more about 8th principle, it seems especially appropriate for us to examine critical race theory. You likely have heard this phrase come up in a variety of circles. While this conversation originally started in the education sector, specifically law school, it is now under discussion seemingly everywhere. Why might we discuss it in the church setting? Because the backlash against its misinterpretation and misuse is causing significant harm and violates several if not all of our faith principles, let alone the 8th one. Please take some time to learn more about this. Here are some resources:
