We’re assembling a Tech Team!

After many, many Sundays of hard work, Brian has decided to step back from doing A/V each week. While he will fill in on occasion, we will be looking for a more robust roster of volunteers to complete this task each Sunday. Please let us know if you are willing to learn this task and fill in on occasion by emailing Voice@PrairieUU.org.

Social Justice

Speak Now Rally – Remove the Regime

Recurring on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month.

Rally location: S. Parker Rd and Crown Crest Blvd, Parker CO 80134 Suggested parking location: 12626 N Pine Ln St, Parker CO or a nearby business lot, such as restaurants across the street. We’ve known for a long time what the core problem is. We need to Remove the Regime. Repetition works best… If we get a few volunteers to help with a future rally or 2, we will continue weekly. Be part of the good side of history, by maintaining a persistent, visible presence that is impossible to ignore.
Our First Amendment right to free speech and to reasonable voting access has been under attack since this authoritarian regime was allowed to take over our government. It’s like a snowball rolling downhill, gathering speed and more snow. The longer we wait to divert its path, the more difficult it will be to stop the horrific outcome. Do it for your children. Do it for your spouse. Do it for your friends that are unaware of what is happening. Do it for your country. We have loaner rally signs available. If you only have a few minutes, please stop by for the time that you can spare. Every effort counts.
All details are here!

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

September Clean-Up – DATE CHANGE
Saturday, September 12th starting at 7:30AM (or when you can get there) until we can’t stand to go anymore. If after that time there is more to do, another date will be scheduled. Please come with gloves, clippers, rakes, weed whackers, a sun hat, kneeling pads, and any other tools you think you might specifically use or are extra handy with. If you don’t have any of that or just have a little of it, don’t worry–bringing yourself is most important!
From Brenda: I will have a plan of attack laid out. I invite others to join in on the considerations. I must say: I don’t want this clean up job to wear you out so you’re unable to attend the auction the following day! We all know Jan would kill me if that happened! 😆 Looking forward to working with you all on this project!
Please contact Brenda at 303-522-7988 with suggestions and/or questions.

A generous offer from Joanna Shukert, of our Prairie Community…
If any of you are considering buying or selling a home, or know someone who is, I’m offering to donate half my net commission from any transaction originating from a Prairie member. The funds will be donated directly to Prairie in your name. As you know, home prices have doubled in recent years (along with real estate commissions), so I’m happy to make this offer on an ongoing basis. I’ve worked as a Denver realtor for 15 years and have been in the top 5-10% of HomeSmart agents over the past 3 years. I’d be honored to assist with any buy or sell transaction in the metro area. I also offer free advice or guidance on anything real estate related, so please reach out anytime if I can help.
Please email Joanna to learn more!
