Sermon Inspiration/Instruction
Interested in giving a sermon one day? Leslie Wright believes everyone has a least one sermon in them! She and Reverend Chip can help you as you prepare your sermon and hopefully deliver it. This endeavor will require a few one-hour classes with a small group. Joining the classes doesn’t mean you are required to give a sermon — just work on one.
If interested, please email Leslie. Once participants are identified, a time and location that is convenient for all will be determined.

Circle Supper is the “go to” place to meet people at Prairie!
Generally we meet for an intimate meal of 6-8 folks and rotate homes. Last spring we met at a restaurant after Service, which was a big hit! Just this August, CS was held at the Spirit of Life building and we had such fun cooking together and sharing stories that night! Let me know what inspires you to host as you can choose the main course and a theme or game to be played. I have long standing friends that I met at a circle supper! I know you will too!
Our September 27th Circle Supper theme is Oktoberfest…
4:30PM-7:30PM at the SOL building, 7053 Baldwin Gulch Cir, Parker, CO
2 Co-Hosts: to provide Bratwurst (full bbq grill on site)
Guests: Please bring a side to share.
RSVP by 9/21 to Sally attractivehomes@gmail.com.
Please come join! Bring a friend. Share any dietary needs (vegan or chicken brats).

Bridge House Ready to Work — Volunteers Needed
Since the first of the year, Jenny Spampinato has revived Prairie’s connection to volunteering at Bridge House Ready to Work. Once a month, she takes 5 dozen cupcakes to the birthday party for residents who are celebrating that month. Sometimes Shirley, Jenny R. and granddaughter, Molly, have helped but more volunteers are needed, especially since Molly returns to college this week.
The cupcakes need to be delivered to Bridge House on the third Thursday of each month before the afternoon party.
Please contact Jenny Spampinato to volunteer dozen or more cupcakes. Thank you!

Declaration by People of Faith in Support of the Lives and Rights of Immigrants
The Interfaith Immigration Network is asking individuals and organizations to endorse the “Declaration by People of Faith in Support of the Lives and Rights of Immigrants.” It is a powerful, faith-based affirmation of the humanity of immigrants and contains demands that all levels of our government treat our immigrant neighbors justly and humanely.
Read the Declaration.
Sign the Declaration.
Our goals are to mobilize the faith communities of Colorado, to gather thousands of signatures for the Declaration, and to let our local, state and federal legislators know that we expect them to take meaningful steps to protect immigrants from the inhumanity they are experiencing. The Declaration will be publicized and celebrated at a vigil/rally/press conference in downtown Denver in October.

If any of you are considering buying or selling a home, or know someone who is, I’m offering to donate half my net commission from any transaction originating from a Prairie member. The funds will be donated directly to Prairie in your name. As you know, home prices have doubled in recent years (along with real estate commissions), so I’m happy to make this offer on an ongoing basis. I’ve worked as a Denver realtor for 15 years and have been in the top 5-10% of HomeSmart agents over the past 3 years. I’d be honored to assist with any buy or sell transaction in the metro area. I also offer free advice or guidance on anything real estate related, so please reach out anytime if I can help.
Please email Joanna to learn more!
