Window of My Mind

Join us this Sunday as we kick off our quarterly theme of Self-Care: Mind, Body, and Spirit. During the month of October, we will be focusing on the Mind. Pastor AJ and Melissa Bishop take us on an adventure of exploring how we allow our minds and thoughts to both lift us up and take us down depending on our view of our activities and the events around us. Our very own PrairieUU Band will bring us music from Johnny Nash and more. It will be a wonderful time for all.

Join us for a Gong Bath after service on October 6th!
What is a Gong Bath?
A gong bath is a sound practice that uses the sound and vibrations of gongs to bring about physical and emotional healing.  It is called a gong bath because the participants are “bathed” in sound waves from the gongs.
What to Expect
Participants typically lay on the ground with their heads resting in the direction of the gongs. Closing your eyes, you will hear the gongs and feel the vibrations, which can create a unique and powerful meditative state.
How to Prepare for a Gong Bath
Please dress comfortably that day. Bring a yoga mat or towel to lay on if you will be laying on the ground. Also, please feel free to bring any pillows or supports that you need to be comfortable.  We will start the gong bath at 11:30 on the gymnasium.
This is an adult RE experience. Children over the age of 10 are invited to participate if able to remain still for the 50 minute experience. Child care will be provided for children who are not able to attend the gong bath.
