Mental Health Challenges and Wellness Practices For Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME)

Join us to learn about the crippling mental and physical disease myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) and why advocating for people with ME and raising awareness is a key social justice issue.  John and Julie Kelty, Timothy Bishop and Rev. Jann Halloran will delve into what it is like to look so normal while living perpetually in a mental fog while your life is very physically restricted, address misconceptions and stereotypes around having ME, and look at wellness practices essential for survival.  While the topic is specific to ME, many of the themes and discussions will resonate with people who have found the scope of their life seriously curtailed by other conditions and factors and are looking for meaning within their new realities. Eric Moon will provide special music.

During Learning Hour at 11:35 a.m., we will host a Death Cafe; and a class on the after-life for children and youth will be led by Emily Tow.
