Nicknamed Margie, I was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up 18 miles north of the city. I am one of six kids in a Catholic raised family.

I am a retired nurse: retired from Denver Health and retired from US Navy Reserves. My second career was as a master’s level
anthropologist working as a senior professional research assistant at UC Health in the American Indian and Alaska Native Programs.

I came to PrairieUU after I moved to Parker about 4 years ago. This year I am looking forward to continued personal growth and of COSM itself.

I am passionate about lifelong learning, horses, gardening and, of course, my 2 cats.

My motto is the title of the book “Travel as a Political Act” by Rick Steves

I believe in God and am agnostic about Jesus.
